After many rounds of discussions, we
finally decided on the following food web and the types of organisms in the
food web that each group member is responsible of.
Changes Made to the Food
Web
At first, our food web did
not have a decomposer or a dentrivore. However, given the facts provided for
the Planet Zork, a few groupmates and I realized that it was crucial to have a
decomposer in the food web since nutrient cycling is slow and dead matter tends
to accumulate. Therefore, instead of a land plant, it was proposed that Swathi opt
for a fungus (decomposer) instead of a carnivore. This suggestion was agreed by
the group members.
